Tirza Schaefer: Romance Author & Goddess Facilitator
Blurb
Arrow, a Marine SpecOps officer crashes his helicopter in a blizzard and is saved by an angel who is, in fact, a witch from New Orleans.
Angel is a single mother who stays at a cabin tucked away in the wilderness of the Wyoming Teton Range with her 16-year-old twin sons Ari and Bjarni. They are spending the winter holidays there to unwind from the hustle and bustle of busy New Orleans life, where Angel has a house and shop just off Bourbon Street on which her parents own a blues bar. She is the most powerful witch of the French Quarter and serves the local population with all things witchy.
When Arrow bursts into the hut in the middle of the blizzard it isn't mere concern for his health that drives Angel to take her clothes off to warm Arrow under the blankets. After a passionate encounter between the two adults, Angel, Arrow and the twins end up downstairs, mulling over the past while sipping Angel's famous holiday tea. All could be peaceful if it weren't for the Grizzly that decides to enter the house and take up residence by the warm fire. As there are no guns in the house, the four humans debate on how to lure the giant bear outside again. But oddly, Arrow seems loath to follow the plan.
Does he know more than he lets on and what kind of secret mission was he in the middle of when his helicopter crashed? And why does he think a Louisiana witch and her psychic twins could be the solution to his classified operation?
The Book's Creation
Teaser
Suddenly, with a giant roar, the door was flung open and a grown Grizzly bear stood on the threshold, sniffing the air.
“Ma, run upstairs!” Ari called to Angel who stood at opposite ends of the room.
They both made a dash for the stairs.
“Don’t look back,” Angel called to her son. She had had enough wits to grab the box containing the salt and was now strewing it on the stairs while murmuring magick spells.
The bear followed them slowly but when he reached the stairs, he couldn’t cross the salt barrier. He stopped, sniffed and sneezed, turning away at last, he followed the delicious scent to the pile of pancakes on the countertop and gobbled them down in no time. Then he turned to the fireplace, looked at the merrily dancing flames and rolled up in front of it.
“Ma, don’t tell me he is going to hibernate here,” Ari whispered.
“I’m not sure. But did I not tell you to run and not look back?”
“You were behind me. You honestly think I wouldn’t look out for you?”
“You know I can take care of myself, Ari. Now go and get Arrow. Just be careful, he is not dressed. His clothes are still in the dryer.”
Ari groaned.
“So we have a naked Marine who is the only one qualified to lure a bear out of the house?”
“I guess. Our clothes won’t fit him.”
“No, they won’t. And as to taking care of yourself, I didn’t know if you had enough time. Besides, how do I know you know any kind of magick spells involving bears? It’s not like they’re running down Bourbon Street all the time, right?”
“You wanna be smart with me? Go get Arrow and then tell your brother what is happening.
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Good boy.”
Arrow came rushing down without giving a second thought to the fact that he was naked. The boys stood at the top of the stairs, snickering and Angel blushed.
“Get a towel for him, will you?”
“Are you alright?” Arrow asked with panting breath.

Reviews for A Beary Little Christmas
Are you in the mood for a short, entertaining and steamy hot 🔥🔥🔥 shifter romance full of magic and heart?
Then you have got to give this a try!
A shifter romance novella, the third of the standalone series Tirza's Christmas Tales, A Beary Little Christmas is a little page-turner that manages to be both steamy hot and fun.
What is it about?
🐻A witch on a karmic mission
🐻A mostly naked SpecOps Marine
🐻Two 16-year-old twins who can't seem to stop teasing said SpecOps Marine.
🐻A grumpy bear shifter cursed by an evil jealous witch.
🐻And a lot of sexy hot scenes.❤
Angel is is the most powerful witch of the French Quarter who chose to spend the winter holidays with her 16-year-old twin sons Ari and Bjarni at a cabin tucked away in the wilderness of the Wyoming Teton Range. To unwind from all the hustle and bustle of her busy New Orleans life.
But their peaceful holiday is promptly interrupted by Arrow, an almost frozen SpecialOps Marine, who bursts through their door in the middle of a blizzard. Not that big of a problem as far as everyone's concerned, especially since passion instantly flares between the lonely witch and the lost marine. Except that a big grumpy bear follows on his heels, deciding to take up residence in the main hall, by the warm fire.
With no guns in the house, the twins instantly assign Arrow the job of getting the giant bear back out. With what? The knives from the kitchen of course. :D
"Are you out of your mind? You want to fight a bear with a kitchen knife?"
"No, not me. Him." Bjarni pointed at Arrow. "He's SpecOps right? So here's a SpecOp for him to sort out."
But oddly, Arrow seems loath to follow the plan.
The why and the how I will leave for you to find out. But here's what you should expect if you give their tale a try:
Marines, shifters, magic and folklore, alongside lots of fun banter, steamy hot scenes, and a general feeling of warmth and gentleness that leaps from the page.
If you like the sound of all of the above, A BEARY LITTLE CHRISTMAS would be the perfect pick at the end of a long day. Not just around Christmas if you ask me. It's steamy hot as well as sweet and fun.

A Beary Little Christmas is a short, fun, and smoking hot read!
Arrow is out on a secret mission when he crash-lands in the middle of a snowstorm. A vision of an angel brings him to the doorstep of a woman with the same name - Angel. There, he gets to know her and her two sons, who are spending Christmas out in the middle of nowhere.
A spark is ignited between Arrow and Angel, and they act on their impulses, but things are about to get even better than that. Soon, a fluffy beast walks into the cottage, intent on eating their pancakes, the event forcing Arrow to admit why he was found out there in a whiteout.
Containing everything one might want from a steamy paranormal romance story, A Beary Little Christmas has witches, shifters, curses, action, romance, hot smut, and hilarious banter! This little pageturner is entertaining from cover to cover, and I highly recommend it!

Cute cover, hot interior!
This book is truly magical and has it all. When we think of Christmas, we think of a snowed-in log cabin, a happy family, well-behaved children, the good old days, family tradition. And it's all in there. BUT the magic is caused by a witch and bear shifters.
An evil curse and twins having a karmic connection with their mother from a time where anyone remotely different was persecuted by the church's inquisition in Europe. And somehow, everyone is involved in destroying the evil curse without resorting to black magic (as in dark path, not ethnicity). Finally, they end up in the bayou, the swamps just outside of New Orleans.
And yes, it's hot. It's sexy, it's magical and it's definitely bringing home the Christmas traditions. We may just be talking different traditions. But who cares? Miracles, true love, humour and great feelings are all there. I LOVE this book. And as it's the author's first experiment with paranormal creatures, she totally pulled it off, although perhaps not quite traditionally...

So this is the last book Tirza Schaefer published (to date), for Christmas 2020. And it was great!
This woman took the entire crazy Covid year, totally ignored it and went out with a bang! Which means she didn't let the outer circumstances squash her pioneering spirit and wrote her first-ever shifter book.
Yes, bear shifters. Marines. Take your pick. Both apply. So the first snows into the cabin a witch has rented to spend Christmas with her teenage twin sons and he's naked most of the time, too. That's quite funny by itself. Then there are the witty twins who don't have a problem with winding up said Marine and expecting him to do a special operation on a grizzly bear that has decided to walk in and lie down in front of the open fireplace.
But, of course, the bear is no ordinary bear and to get the curse off him, Angel's witch's brew gets quite steamy if you know what I mean... Wink! The book takes the reader from cold and wintry Wyoming to the hot Bayou of the Southern swamps near New Orleans, the city where Angel and the boys live. And the way it ends leaves me hoping for some vampire action? That would be cool. Maybe next Christmas...
Hot, sweet, sweaty and downright magical, this book is a great Christmas read. Well, not only at Christmas. You'll enjoy it in the summer, too, I'm sure.

Marines, Magic, and Folklore galore!!!
This was a fun book comprising a group of mysterious U.S. Marines, Shape Shifters, Witches, and other creatures of folklore embroiled in a steamy romantic theme. The author does an excellent job creating a story taking place during a blizzard in the backwoods of Wyoming with an interesting plot. Each of the characters work together to help out one of the shifters if crisis and ends on a happy celebratory note.

Sexy, fun read.
What more could you ask for? I’m not sure which is best: being Tucked away in a cabin in the woods in the middle of a blizzard or finding two bear shifter marines. Never mind, it’s clearly finding two sexy marines who are crazy about you. This was a fun, sexy, holiday read and I loved every minute of it.

Good Goddess shifter book!
This was a great story. It was fast-paced with lots of steam and a great storyline. Angel was truly an angel. She is a white witch with seeing capabilities and has a gentle spirit. I would recommend this to fellow shifter readers.

Arrow being a survivor of an accident and traveling through a blizzard on foot was one crazy way to start the book. Having an angel rescue that is also named Angel is even better. I love the bear shifter. This is my first book with bear shifters and I love the story that involves the whole clan. I will say overall this wasn’t my favorite but it was still really good.

Man, I never thought I would enjoy reading shifter romance, now with A Beary little Christmas, this may have opened a whole new era for me! Arrow Angel and Weda have such a unique mated bond, Angel helped Weda and Arrow in such a special way, it only makes sense that they are mated! I am so happy I read this, and the whole military team was so accepting of Angel and her ways!

This was a cute quick read Christmas sory.
Witches, magic and bear shifters take center stage with this story. Angel has been lonely ever since the death of her husband. That was no great love. But she felt drawn to the area and was glad that she was.
Arrow was on a mission to take down a fellow bear shifter. HIs helicopter crashes during a blizzard. The only refuge is Angels house. While there he feels a pull to Angel and the bear shifter he has been after shows up. Then things heat up.
Great story. A great spin on Christmas.

A SpecOps Marine, Arrow, crashes a helicopter and finds himself lost in a blizzard. An angel guides him to a nearby home where he meets a mother and her two teenage sons. They immediately get along wonderfully, welcoming him with mostly open arms, and find out they all have secrets that they have to share with each other.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was full of happiness, sadness, and despite being the third book in the series I didn’t feel like I was missing information. I wasn’t personally a fan of the third person point of view, but the story line was fantastic. I would certainly recommend reading it as a quick, cute, Christmas read!
