Master Healer

Clear Quartz, the “Master Healer” and “Stone of Power”, is also known as “Clear Quartz”, “Crystal Quartz” and “Rock Crystal”. The name Quartz Crystal comes from the Biblical Greek word krystallos which means clear ice. Quartz is a commonly found crystal on almost every continent, although the retail pieces mainly come from Arkansas, Brandberg, Brazil, China, Himalayas, India, Madagascar, Morocco, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia and Tibet. It is a Silicon Dioxide of the silicates class of crystals. It is colourless and transparent to semi-opaque in appearance.

Other forms of Quartz with their own unique metaphysical properties are: Amethyst, Ametrine, Aventurine, Blue Quartz, Cat's Eye, Chalcedony, Citrine, Green Quartz or Prasiolite, Milky or Snow, Rose, Rutilated, Smoky and Strawberry Quartz.

Clear Quartz is a powerful healing crystal with the ability to work on any condition, hence it being known as the “Master Healer”. It was believed to be water that was frozen so hard that it would never thaw and in Ancient Rome wealthy ladies held it in their hands to keep them cool in hotter weather.

It enhances psychic abilities, particularly clairvoyance, and will aid communication on both the physical and spiritual realms. Clear crystal spheres have been used for centuries for crystal gazing or scrying. Ancient civilisations used Quartz as religious objects and in funeral rites to dispel evil and magical enchantments.

Clear Quartz is easy to programme and is used to make silicon chips for computers and other electrical equipment such as radios and watches. It also amplifies the energy of any other crystal used with it and will protect against negativity by cleansing and strengthening the aura whilst attuning you to your higher self.

In their natural state, Clear Quartz points radiate their energy outwards and are fabulous crystals to use with healing grids or as healing wands. Quartz brings clarity of thought and aids concentration and memory retention, whilst filtering out distractions, making it particularly useful as a studying aid or whilst undertaking written or verbal examinations.

Clarity of Thought

Quartz is associated with Gaia, the Greek Earth Mother Goddess, Kundalini, the Hindu Life Force Goddess, Latona, the Roman counterpart of the Greek Leto, Goddess of Light and Motherhood, Gendenwitha, the Morning Star Goddess of the Iroquois, and Ixcuiname, the Mayan Goddess of the Four Ages of Women.

Clear Quartz is associated with Archangel Raziel, the Angel of Spiritual Insight, whose name means “Secret of God”.

Quartz is primarily associated with the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara), relating to spiritual connection, understanding and enlightenment. Its secondary Chakras are the Third Eye or Brow Chakra (Ajna), relating to insight, intuition, awareness and guidance, and the Soul Star Chakra (Vyapini), relating to the Etheric Body. Quartz will cleanse, open, activate and align all of the chakras and will connect the Crown Chakra with the Soul Star Chakra.

In crystal healing, Quartz is said to help with symptoms relating to the following illnesses and areas of the body: AIDS/HIV, burns, circulatory system, dental pain, dizziness, exhaustion, fibromyalgia, heartburn, immune system strengthening, kidney disorders, memory, metabolism, migraine, motion sickness, pain relief, pineal gland, post-surgical healing, skin conditions, sleep, thyroid balance, vertigo and vitality.

Emotionally, Quartz is said to assist with acceptance, emotional balance, healing and stabilising, friendship, harmony, joy, perseverance and reducing stress or tension.

Spiritually, Clear Quartz is said to aid affirmation statements, Angel, higher realms, spirit guides and inner child communication and connection, divine love, connection and guidance, humility, an increase of consciousness, shamanic healing, spiritual awakening and guidance, telepathy and the awareness of and alignment with unity.

Clear Quartz is not a traditional, ancient or modern birthstone but will work for all of the Zodiac signs. It is not on the anniversary list.

Meditation

Quartz is a perfect crystal for meditating with to filter out distractions and help to empty the mind of thought in order to achieve a deep meditative state. It amplifies energy and can bring clarity to messages received from the spirit realm. Hold the crystal whilst meditating to programme it with whatever intention you want to use the crystal for.
